New Obsession: the Indian Grocery Store

I have a new obsession, the Dual Specialty Store in East Village. Rows and rows of spices and flours and condiments that I have no idea what to do with. It's all a bit exciting, isn't it? The idea that there all of these people in the city who know what to do with all of it. I'm going to figure it out before my days in New York are over.

Look, pistachio oil? Do you know how hard it is to find pistachio oil? I make this Pistachio Sea Bass dish that calls for the oil, but I've never bothered because the only place I've found the oil is at Dean & Deluca and a little bottles costs a fortune.

But look, it's only $12.75 here! Oh boy oh boy there are things I can do with this store.

And look beet root powder. I have no idea what I can do with beet root powder, but I'm sure it's amazing. It's nice to have something to look forward to these days, yes?
