Bond St.

Finally acted like an adult living in Manhattan and went out Friday night for drinks. It's been months.
J and I met up with C at Bond St. It's mind-boggling the number of great establishments within walking distance of my home that I haven't visited depsite having lived in the LES for over two years now. It'd probably would help if I'd stop being such a pansy about going out if the weather is the slightest bit inclement, and if I managed to acquire a better sense of direction. If C and I walk out the door together to head somewhere, I still pause and look to her to know whether I should turn left or right.

This was just a layover before our respective dinners, so we just ordered some edamame and Jerusalem Artichoke Tempura.

I liked that there was a lot of grated daikon radish in the tempura sauce. The Jerusalem Artichokes had a really strong artichoke taste and the batter was nice and light.

They also looked like they had some interesting cocktails, but I was too nervous to partake after not having gone out in awhile and having been laid up in bed a lot lately.
